Garage Talk With Pikes Peak Champion Jeff Zwart

On Nov. 7th we had the pleasure of spending the evening with about 150 other car enthusiasts eating free tacos, drinking free beer and listening to Jeff Zwart talk about his career as a Pikes Peak Champion and commercial film director .  This awesome event was an 'Open Garage Talk' held by The REVS program and the Center for Automotive Research (CARS) at Stanford University.  If was titled 'Telling Stories with Cars' and was moderated by IDEO/Stanford's Diego Rodriguez.

We showed up early to beat the traffic (Stanford was playing Oregon State) and we were pleasantly surprised.  There were tables throughout with deserts, veggies and dip and a beer bar serving up Stella Artois and Sierra Nevada.  We were happy enough eating brownies and beer…then the taco truck showed up!  Who can turn down free tacos?  After about an hour of eating, socializing, checking out Jeff's Porsche GT3 RS 4.0 in the parking lot, and watching Bruce Canepa pull up the event in a Porsche 959, we sat down to listen to Diego and Jeff talk about Jeff's work and watch his amazing commercials.  We don't know when the next Open Garage Talk will be, but we will be there!
