Well Preserved / 1969 BMW 2002 For Sale
BMW 2002s are are really coming into their own these days, and this one owned by our friend 'Ruben' has to be one of the nicest "survivor" 2002s in the country. Sporting it's original white paint and nearly perfect body, it looks like it's 5 years old and it's hard to believe that it has covered nearly 225,000 miles. This car has been driven regularly for the 45+ years and that's part of what makes this one so special. The panel gaps are nearly perfect, the bright work is...bright, and everything else is as it should be. Sporting a small ammount of rock chips and a couple small dings just adds to the character.
Over the years it has recieved a handful of tasteful mods, like an e21 5-spd trans and big brakes (all original parts are included).
We hope this car goes to a like-minded enthusiast that will drive it like it's supposed to be driven.

Unique opportunity to acquire an early production Series I 2002 sunroof - cosmetically original, unmolested survivor; excellent original paint & interior (no tears, splits or cracks in upholstery or dash).
Three owner black-plate Northern California car from new, factory tourist delivery in February 1969, original service books with European service stamps, original oval tourist delivery plates and original two volume blue-binder service manual set. Extensive mechanical refurbishment and upgrades, all original components retained and included to permit return to 100% factory specification when desired, NO body alterations or non-reversible modifications.
Upgrades include early 70’s dealer-option Ronal 5.5 X 13 alloy wheels, E21 5 speed overdrive transmission, E21 (vented rotor/larger caliper/390 mm rear drums) brakes, engine rebuild at 185K on original numbers-matching block (balance & blueprint, cc’ed & port matched E21 head, Schrick 184 cam, 9.1 pistons, 8 bolt crank and flywheel, 38/38 Weber carb, modified factory 2 bbl intake, tii exhaust and distributor), all original cosmetic, engine, driveline, and suspension components including head, carb / intake & exhaust / emissions equipment, 4 speed transmission, brakes, wheels, etc are included.
